Official Training Protocol · Field Edition

The operational console for running a full Metropolitan Police Department training session — from posting the dispatch notice to filing the after-action log. Every phase, rule, and scoring threshold from the handbook, rebuilt as a working terminal.

Session Flow7 STEPS
  • 1 · Pre-Op — post the notice, open the room, screenshot wide, manage attendees.
  • 2 · Briefing — read the opening script, set permission-to-speak & SPaG rules.
  • 3 · Driving — issued-livery vehicle, Code 2 then Code 3 route. (Quiz if group.)
  • 4 · Shooting — River City Guns range, score marksmanship out of 10.
  • 5 · Scenarios — 2–3 fake scenarios, ends on a clean cuff + stated charge.
  • 6 · Ride-Along — live patrol, pull-overs & pursuits, return to WL PD.
  • 7 · Recognition & Log — wedge, dismiss, file results with proofs.
Trainer Pre-Flight
  • Notice posted in #training-notice with full format.
  • All trainees confirmed whitelisted in the PRPC server.
  • Wide starting screenshot captured, everyone seated.
  • Issued vehicle ready with MPD livery applied.
This is a rework. The original handbook is preserved in substance and corrected for spelling & grammar — fitting, since the course grades trainees on exactly that.
Module 01 · Preparations

Pre-Operation Setup

Everything before the first phase: posting the notice, holding the room, and setting expectations. Get this right and the session runs itself.

Timing & Capture
Training Window
OPEN · 10 MIN
+3 GRACE
0 min10 min — close13 max

Hold the room open for 10 minutes. You may extend to a hard cap of 13 minutes — the 3-minute grace is only for trainees running late.

Run Order
Post the notice in #training-notice — build it in the Script section.
Open the room and start the 10-minute timer; answer attendee questions while you wait.
Once everyone is seated, take the wide starting screenshot — every trainee visible.
Lock the room, then walk the Trainer Script in the Script section.
Conduct & Discretion
  • A trainee who misbehaves or breaks the rules may be warned, struck, or removed at the host's discretion.
  • SPaG is enforced at all times. A trainee gets 2 warnings before strikes begin — this rule is mandatory.
  • Strikes carry across the whole session. Whenever a trainee earns one, tell them their current total.
  • If miscommunication results from the trainer's inattention, the trainer may be warned.
Group AdaptationsMULTIPLE TRAINEES

With more than one trainee, four phases change. Single-trainee sessions follow the standard handbook flow.

ScenariosSolo scenarios, your design.Grouped as one team. Assign a Team Leader — best SPaG, fewest warnings.

Team Leader selection. When grouping trainees, base the Team Leader choice strictly on demonstrated SPaG and the lowest warning count — not on who speaks first.
Module 02 · Script

Script

Everything you say and send during a training — the full host script plus every copy-paste — in one place, in order. Tap Copy, paste into Discord, then fill in the [bracketed] parts.

MDT-02
Work top to bottom: post the notice, walk the trainer script (it covers the whole training — copy lines as you go), send the quiz when you reach it, then file the results. The Evaluation panel can auto-fill the results log for you.

02Trainer ScriptCOPY LINE BY LINE

Every line you say across the whole training, in order. Tap the copy button on any line to grab just that one. Amber boxes are guidance for you — not lines to read aloud.

01Start of Training
After locking your training and taking a wide starting screenshot, read the following lines.
Welcome to your Washington MPD training. I am your host, [USERNAME].
Permission to speak is active. If you wish to speak, you must ask for permission first, and you must use SPaG at all times — failure to do so results in a strike. Three strikes and you fail your training.
You shall address me as Sir or Ma'am. Am I understood?
If a trainee answers with anything other than "Yes, Sir." or "Yes, Ma'am." — correct them before moving on.
This training consists of four phases: a driving test, a shooting test, fake scenarios, and a real ride-along.
If you fail two of those phases, you will fail.
Now, let us proceed with the first phase.
Branch: multiple trainees → run the Quiz group below in place of the driving test. Single trainee → skip the quiz and go straight to the Driving Test.
02Quiz · Multiple Trainees
Since there are multiple of you, you will instead receive a quiz — always answer with SPaG. This is much easier, so good luck!
Ping me in trainee chat so I can send you the quiz. You will have 5 minutes to answer. You may start when you receive them.
Send the three questions from the Group Quiz card below. Scoring lives in Knowledge — 2 of 3 to pass, wrong −1, missing SPaG −0.5, below 2 is a strike. Send results once everyone is done.
Since we are done with the quiz, I will still show you the basics of proper driving. Please follow me outside and get inside of my vehicle.
We will now go to the movie theatre in Code 2, then to River City Guns store in Code 3.
03Driving Test
Please go outside and spawn the issued vehicle for trainees. Make sure it has the MPD livery on it.
Your first task is to drive to Springfield Movie Theatre in Code 2, then to River City Guns store in Code 3. Observe proper emergency driving.
If you crash two times, it will result in a strike. Understood?
Strikes from the training rules and from the phases combine. Whenever a trainee earns a strike — at the intro or for SPaG — you MUST tell them their current total.
04Shooting Test
Now let's proceed inside and move to the shooting range. Follow me.
At River City Guns: solo trainee → the furthest dummy booth; a group → let them choose. Instruct them (your call), focused on marksmanship, then rate their skill out of 10 and note the score. Spend at least 3–5 minutes.
05Fake Scenarios
Now that we are done with the shooting test, we will now proceed with fake scenarios. Hop on the vehicle and get to the barn in Code 2.
Now, let us proceed with the fake scenario.
Run 2–3 scenarios before moving on. Group multiple trainees as one and assign a Team Leader. Cuff-rushing or fail-roleplay = a strike. The criminal can be an MPD officer or the trainer; a scenario ends when the trainee says -cuffs- and states why the criminal is under arrest.
Congratulations on passing your fake scenarios! Now let us proceed with the last phase — the ride-along.
06Ride-Along
Get inside the vehicle and drive around the city. You may pull people over, chase criminals, and assist at the White House, the border, or in the city.
If you have any questions, you may ask now. If none, we'll proceed with the ride-along!
Evaluate every action — add or deduct from 10 points, same as the other phases. Too many mistakes, interfering with roleplay, or crashing into the convoy = a strike. Return to the WL PD afterward.
07Closing · Recognition
Back at the WL PD, return to the briefing room to congratulate everyone who passed.
Congratulations on passing the training! You will be ranked as soon as possible.
Please read the MPD information channel, and take some time to look at the dashboard. Any questions?
Form a wedge on me!
Screenshot the wedge for proof — do not include anyone who did not pass. After the photo, you may dismiss them.
Thank you for attending! Everyone is now dismissed!

  • In Notes, give a short summary of each trainee: behaviour, scores, and strikes.

Tip: score everyone in Evaluation, then Record → Copy Results Log fills this in for you — the form and rank-up channel links are already baked in.

Module 03 · Evaluation

Evaluation Panel

Log the session, score every trainee across all four phases on the handbook's 1–10 scale, then print an official record. A phase scored below 5 counts as a failed phase — fail two phases or reach three strikes and the candidate fails automatically.

Quiz ProtocolGROUP SESSIONS
  • Trainees ping you in the trainee chat; you send the quiz and they have 5 minutes to answer — all answers in SPaG.
  • Scoring: a wrong answer is −1; an answer missing SPaG is −0.5. A trainee must score 2 of 3 correct.
  • Below 2 correct is a strike — inform the trainee. Send everyone's results once the group is done; the quiz is changeable.
  • Send results once everyone is done. Below 2 correct earns a strike — inform the trainee. The quiz is changeable.
1You are running Code 3 (lights and sirens) and turning onto a road where another officer is also running Code 3 and will crash into you if you turn. You are on an emergency and on-duty as a whitelisted officer. Do you still turn onto that road — and why?
Acceptable answer demonstrates

The trainee should yield and avoid the collision — you do not turn into the other unit's path. Right-of-way during an emergency is never a licence to cause a crash; colliding ends both responses and endangers everyone. Look for an answer that puts collision avoidance above speed.

2The President is about to be swarmed by multiple armed civilians at the White House, but you are currently in a Mod Scene. Do you assist the President or hold — and why?
Acceptable answer demonstrates

The trainee should hold and stay frozen. A Mod Scene pauses all roleplay; acting during one is fail-roleplay regardless of what is happening in-character. The correct call is to wait for the moderator to lift the scene, then respond.

3Can a Washington Metropolitan Police Department officer protect the President — why or why not?
Acceptable answer demonstrates

Judge this against your community's canon. A strong answer recognises that MPD's role is general law enforcement and support — officers may assist and secure an area — while dedicated executive protection is the protective detail's responsibility, not a substitute MPD provides. Reward clear reasoning over a one-word reply.
